Wellington Region Business Excellence Awards 2018 Finalists Named

Thursday, October 11, 2018

Picking category and supreme winners from a top line-up of the Wellington Region businesses will be a tough call for judges for this year’s prestigious Wellington Region Business Excellence Awards Event.

Neville Hyde, President of the Hutt Valley Chamber of Commerce and Industry says, “Businesses are showing high levels of confidence and some key regional companies and organisations have emerged to contest the awards again this year. There have been a record number of entries for this year’s event,”

Hosted by the Hutt Valley Chamber of Commerce & Industry, the black tie awards dinner at the new Lower Hutt Events Centre on 30th November 2018 is expected to attract over 500 guests. Neville says “There is a lot of interest in the awards which acknowledge performance excellence by companies, organisations and individuals who have made a significant contribution to business activity throughout the Hutt Valley and wider Wellington Region during the year.

The Chamber believes the business excellence awards promote and encourage business achievement and enterprise, essential ingredients to business growth. The Hutt Valley Chamber of Commerce & Industry plays a vital role in supporting the growth of business enterprise throughout the Wellington Region. Its job is to support and nurture new business and help them succeed through introductions and networking with other businesses, learning and development, and ensuring a conducive business environment within which they can excel.

Neville says “The business awards provide an opportunity to showcase examples of successful business enterprise in the business community and the Chamber is delighted once again to host, with the support of sponsors, this prestigious event in its 75th anniversary year as the Hutt Valley Chamber of Commerce & Industry Inc.”
